Smartang Tall Arboreal Tarantula Enclosure – No Assembly Required, Front-Opening, Acrylic Habitat

Overview

Smartang's Tall Arboreal Tarantula Enclosure offers a tall, airy habitat designed for vertical living. Standing 30.5 cm tall, the enclosure invites climbing and perching behaviors typical of arboreal species, while also accommodating small lizards, snails, and mantises within a compact footprint.

The walls are crafted from crystal-clear acrylic, delivering a bright, unobstructed 360-degree view of your pet and its surroundings. The material resists scuffing and keeps observations crisp, even when the enclosure is in regular use. Best of all, the unit arrives ready to use with no assembly required, so you can set up, decorate, and start observing in minutes.

With a vertical emphasis, this enclosure helps you optimize space on your shelf or desk while still providing generous room for natural behaviors. The front-opening design makes feeding, decorating, and routine checks straightforward, reducing disruption to your pet and keeping handling calm and predictable.

Design Highlights

• Vertical Space: tall profile supports climbing, perching, and the creation of vertical habitats.
• Sturdy and Durable: clear cylindrical construction offers robust viewing and long-lasting use.
• Front-Opening Design: accessible door (6.2 in x 3.5 in) enables easy feeding and cleaning.
• Traditional Latch: reliable closure avoids vibrations that can startle timid pets.
• Waterproof Base & Cross Ventilation: sealed bottom with cross-ventilated sides and top maintains airflow and dry substrates.

Practical Uses and Tips

• Create a naturalistic vertical setup by adding hammocks, branches, and moss to encourage climbing and hiding spots.
• Fill the base with soil or substrate to simulate a natural ground layer while supporting moisture management and easy cleanup.
• Use the front door for gentle feeding and regular checks, reducing stress and risk of escapes.
• Observe behavior from multiple angles thanks to the 360-degree transparency, ideal for education or hobby monitoring.
• Position near a natural light source to highlight colors and patterns without harsh glare.

Care, Safety, and Maintenance

Wipe the acrylic surfaces with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and mild cleaner as needed. Avoid magnetic attachments that may create noise or vibration. Regularly check the latch and door fit to ensure a secure seal while maintaining easy access.
